More Cores!

In the last month I've built a new server for myself with the following specs:

• 2 Quad Core 3.0GHz Xeon Processors
• 8GB DDR2 800 FB-DIMM
• RAID-1 SATA Array on a 3ware 4 port card with two 150GB 10,000rpm Western Digital Drives for system and databases
• RAID-5 SATA Array with 13 1TB Seagate drives and 1 hot spare

Then since I was having so much fun with the speed on that 8 core system, I updated my own desktop system at home. Put in an Intel Pentium 4 Quad Core 2.4GHz and 4GB of RAM.

Now it's just a matter of giving my systems enough work to do to warrant all this new speedage.
